MAPAa is an architecture and design practice directed by Marcos Parga working on projects between the US (Syracuse, NY) and Spain (Madrid). The practice seeks out an expanded role for architecture by engaging buildings, objects, interiors, and speculative research. The studio's most recent work leverages Parga's interest in addresing pressing issues like social equality, awareness and agency through the design of new typologies of domestic environments that question preconceived ideas about privacy and ownership.

The office integrates a floating population of multidisciplinary professionals mainly dedicated to develop architectural projects, but also those that have to do with interior design, product design and publishing.

Marcos Parga is an European PhD Architect as designated by the Madrid Polytechnic University (E.T.S.A.M-U.P.M.) and Associate Professor at Syracuse University School of Architecture, New York.

B.Arch, M.Arch, and PhD in 2015 at Escuela Técnica Superior de Arquitectura – Universidad Politécnica de Madrid (ETSAM-UPM) with the dissertation “The radical choice. A journey through Superstudio“, graded with Summa Cum Laude.
