ON CONSTRUCTIVE IMAGINATION
 
The Integrated Design Studio Lecture Series Spring 2024 curated by Marcos Parga at Syracuse Architecture highlight and pay special attention to the role that construction processes and techniques play in the design process, understanding them as a fundamental part of our architectural practice.

Several speakers from different disciplines will speak about their work, an oeuvre that, in one way or another, celebrates this kind of approach to integration as both an inherent condition to our work as architects and a generator for contemporary design exploration.

The idea is to use their experiences as a way to introduce students to a particular model of inquiry understood as a means of generating methods and practical knowledge that could align design experimentation with technical creativity, advancing a much-needed agenda for the practice of architecture and its critical dialogue with other disciplines.
